Have you ever considered the art of the business of art? A special event at the Takashimaya Archives in Osaka looks at just that. The Takashimaya group held their first art exhibition in 1909, and after seeing the opportunity in art sales, their first art department was created. Since then, they've been connecting art lovers with art pieces, and this event looks at that relationship over the past 110 years.
Admission to the special event is free.
The Takashimaya Archives are located approximately 10 minutes on foot from Namba Station (Nankai Electric Railway / Osaka Metro) or the Osaka Namba Station (Kintetsu Namba Line / Hanshin Namba Line). The venue can also be accessed in around 8 minutes on foot from Exits 5 and 10 of Nipponbashi Station (Sakaisuji Line, Sennichimae Line).
For those who plan to drive to the venue, there is no dedicated parking lot. Patrons are advised to use any of the paid lots in the surrounding streets.
