A special exhibition taking place at the Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts looks at a variety of pieces related to Toyotomi Hideyoshi (1537 - 1598), a Japanese samurai and daimyō of the late Sengoku period. The event will showcase artworks depicting Toyotomi, items he owned (including pieces that have now been designated as Important Cultural Properties), and more.
Adult admission to the event is priced at 1500 yen.
The Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts is located around five minutes on foot from Tennoji Station's Exit 5 (JR West Osaka Loop Line, Hanwa Line, Yamatoji Line, Osaka Metro Midōsuji Line, and Tanimachi Line).
For those who plan to drive, take the Tennoji exit from the Hanshin Expressway. There is no dedicated parking lot for the museum, so patrons are advised to park at the Tennoji Park underground parking lot. Details about fees can be found on the parking lot website here.
