Yukisaryo by Solviva Café, Osaka

Classic Japanese dishes with a modern, organic twist

Solviva is an organic restaurant chain in Osaka that uses seasonal fresh ingredients, meat from free-range animals, and organic coffee, tea and milk products. Yukisaryo by Solviva in Nanba city is the fast food version of Solviva. They serve delicious lunch, dinner and of course coffee and desserts for an affordable price in the heart of Osaka.

Yukisaryo by Solviva is located in Nanba city in Osaka. Since Nanba Station is very big and chaotic, follow the signs towards the Nanba Hills exit. When you get out of the station, you’ll see a little corner café. That’s the place you’re looking for!

The menu includes: Soybean curry with vegetables served with brown rice. It’s medium spicy but definitely very tasty and a bit different from the normal Japanese curry. Pasta salad served with plenty of seasonal vegetables and a beef dish (from free-range animals) served with brown rice, soup and a salad. They also have nyumen, a noodle dish served in different variations such as with curry or onigiri). The café offers set menus for a fixed price.

Coffee and tea at Yukisaryo by Solviva is organic and for latte and cappuccino they only use soy milk. Their tea collection includes: citron, oolong, jasmine, green tea, roasted tea and barely tea among others. And now the best part; the desserts! Fresh donuts fried in olive oil (with different toppings), soft ice-cream made of soy milk, homemade chiffon cake, soy milk pudding, jelly with different tastes (fruit or coffee based), fruit mousse and yogurt desserts. You’ll have a hard time deciding what to order!

Unfortunately, there’s no English menu but as in most restaurants and cafés in Japan there are food pictures so that you can easily point out the dish that you want.

Hours are from 11.30 am till 10 pm. (Dinner starts at 5 pm and the last order is at 9:30 pm.)

Yukisaryo by Solviva is a nice place for a quick meal or coffee. It’s a calm café with affordable prices (food ¥550-¥850, desserts ¥320-¥600) and helpful staff. You should drop in if you’re exploring Nanba city and you have a limited budget.
