- Bangladesh: Mishti. Sweet fried confection topped with diced pistachios.
- China: Mooncake. Round pastry topped with a beautiful imprint, traditionally savoured during the Mid-Autumn Festival.
- Indonesia: Kolak Labu. Sweet dessert of coconut, pumpkin and honey.
- Malaysia: Sambal Udang. Stir-fried shrimp in a spicy tomato sauce topped with onion.
- Philippines: Chicken Adobo. Chicken marinated in vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, and bay leaves and then stewed with egg.
- Republic of Korea: Kanjang Seu. Shrimp marinated in a special yangnyeom sauce and a soy-based marinade with apple.
- Singapore: Chili Crab. Soft-shell crab stir-fried in a chilli sauce topped with coriander.
- Sri Lanka: Kiri Pani. Sweet breakfast dish of banana and mango in yogurt and honey.
- Thailand: Kai Yang. Perfectly slow-cooked chicken topped with special Asian and chili sauces and garnished with coriander. With advice from the consulate, Kura Sushi aimed to create a dish that closely reflected the authentic local flavors.
- Timor-Leste: Egg Tart.
- Vietnam: Fresh Spring Roll. Shrimp and raw vegetables wrapped in rice paper with a sweet and spicy sauce. Delicious and particularly healthy with its many vegetables according to the embassy.
Oceania

- Australia: Australian Roast Beef. Beef from Australia steamed and baked in an oven, sliced, served on mashed potatoes, and topped with gravy. Great according to the embassy, tasting like home and nostalgic for an Australian living abroad.
- Fiji: Kokoda. Mahi-mahi (fish) with lime, cucumber, and red onion in a coconut sauce. Imagine it served inside half of a coconut!
- Marshall Islands: Poke. Mahi-mahi and matured tuna sashimi with avocado, dressed in (soy sauce) poke sauce.
- Micronesia: Micronesian Chicken. Thigh marinated in a special sauce then grilled, served with lemon and red onion.
- Palau: Aho. Chewy sweet dessert featuring mochi (rice cake) in coconut cream.
- Solomon Islands: Cassava Fries. Important food staple in the tropics, cassava is deep-fried, salted, and served with a coconut sauce in this dish.
- Tonga: Keke. Snack of fried dough in caramel coconut sauce. Kids love it!
- Vanuatu: Soup Meat. Juicy meatballs and bok choy in a special oyster sauce-based sauce.
Middle East

- Israel: Malabi. Similar to blanc-manger, this refreshing dessert is flavoured with rose and coconut. Very good according to the ambassador.
- Oman: Falafel. Deep-fried balls of ground chickpeas and fava beans mixed with spices, served with a yogurt sauce.
- Qatar: Lugaimat. Crispy outside and fluffy inside, this sweet bite-sized dessert is a deep-fried dough ball spiced with cardamom.
- Saudi Arabia: Om Ali. Sponge cake layered with milk cream and topped with pistachios and syrup-coated raisins.
- Turkey: Kebab. Roasted meat seasoned with spices, over marinated red onion, and topped with coriander.
- United Arab Emirates: Papparoti. Crunchy outside and fluffy inside, this baked good is coated with coffee-flavoured caramel.
- Yemen: Pudding with banana and bread, drizzled in honey. With custard cream and roasted almonds.
North America
- Canada: Canadian Maple Pancake. European settlers learned how to make maple syrup from indigenous peoples of North America. Canada and the USA produce most maple syrup worldwide. This dish uses Canadian maple syrup.
- USA: Hamburger. World-famous dish with the perfect pairing of pork patties and cheddar cheese.
Central & South America

- Belize: Habanero Chicken. Steak and vegetables served with a hot, flavourful, habanero sauce. Habanero chili originated in the Amazon rainforest; nowadays habanero sauce is a typical souvenir of Belize.
- Bolivia: Picante De Pollo. Spicy chicken served with Colombian potatoes, tomato chilli sauce, corn, and parsley. This dish is usually featured during Christian celebrations such as Carnival and All Saints’ Day. Incredibly delicious and with a taste similar to that of Bolivia according to the embassy.
- Brazil: Pão De Queijo. Cassava (tapioca) starch makes these Brazilian cheese balls distinctly chewy and elastic. Very well made according to the embassy.
- Chile: Erizos. In this appetizer, the colourful flesh of sea urchins is washed, drained, and served with marinated red onion, cucumber, and lime. According to the embassy, this delicious dish successfully expresses the characteristics of Chilean sea urchin.
- Colombia: Papa Criolla Con Hogao. “King of the potatoes” according to some Colombians, papa criollas are golfball-size, golden in and out, creamy, sweet, flavourful potatoes from the Andes. Mild sauce, hogao is made from tomato and green onion. The embassy joyfully stated, “Kura Sushi you are the best!”
- Cuba: Ropa Vieja. The embassy staff said that its taste surpasses the food at the embassy! Dish named after the Spanish for “old clothes”, possibly due to the tattered appearance of its meat. Squeeze lemon over it.
- Dominican Republic: Pescado Con Coco. Very delicious according to the embassy. Deep-fried tilapia (fish) with pepper, red onion and coriander in a sweet, creamy, tropical sauce of coconut and tomato.
- Guatemala: Guatemalan Coffee Jelly. Topped with diced chocolate in whipped cream. Get ready to explore more at Expo 2025 with the fruity acidity, nutty flavor and refreshing aftertaste of Guatemalan beans!
- Honduras: Carne Asado. Grilled and sliced beef with avocado, marinated tomato, and marinated red onion.
- Panama: Ensalada De Feria. The embassy particularly appreciated its authentic taste. Beetroot and potato salad with lettuce.
- Paraguay: Pollo Asado. Grilled chicken paired with chimichurri (a vinegar-based sauce with onions and parsley) and onions for a crunchy texture and spicy kick.
- Peru: Ceviche. Fish marinated in citrus and seasonings, served with sweet potato, corn, and coriander. Well-made according to the embassy.
- Trinidad & Tobago: Doubles. Special bean curry on fried tortillas and sprinkled with parsley powder. This street food is a national dish.
- Uruguay: Alfajores. Caramel sandwiched between two cookies sprinkled with coconut powder. The embassy acknowledged that it’s very well done. According to Guinness World Records, Uruguay made the biggest alfajor ever in 2010: 2 x 0.8 m reaching 464 kg!
Africa

- Angola: Moambe Chicken. Chicken simmered in peanuts, served with fried okra. The ambassador invites all of you to come to Kura Sushi restaurant to try this dish, one of the most delicious in her country.
- Cameroon: Maquereau. Grilled mackerel in chili oil topped with cucumber, onion, chili pepper, and a zest of lime. Very good, succulent, reminiscent of home’s taste according to the ambassador.
- Central African Republic: Fried Tilapia. Served with cucumber and marinated red onion.
- Egypt: Dawood Basha. Meatball, tomato and raisin stew sprinkled with parsley.
- Ethiopia: Coffee Tart. Enjoy the rich flavour and fruity acidity of coffee beans. Very delicious and properly expresses the characteristics of Ethiopian coffee according to the embassy.
- Gambia: Chakery. Will this be your first time savouring a couscous-based dessert? Mixed with yogurt, apple, banana, and dried fruits.
- Kenya: Coffee Jelly. Sour and sweet, topped with whipped cream and chocolaty zig-zags, infused with the strong flavour of coffee beans. According to the embassy, it is very delicious.
- Madagascar: Madagascar Vanilla Pancake. Owes its rich aroma to the high quality of Malagasy Bourbon vanilla.
- Togo: Azidessi. Very good according to the embassy. Focus on the peanut sauce, enjoying it with chicken, eggplant and shishito pepper.
Europe

- Belgium: Belgian Chocolate Waffle. Owes its distinct elasticity to yeast-based fermentation.
- Croatia: Octopus Salad. Chopped octopus marinated in olive oil, served with black olives, tomato, cucumber, and lemon.
- Denmark: Smorrebrod. Open-faced sandwich of garlic rusk topped with Danish cream cheese, salmon, and red onion.
- France: Canelé. Caramelized pastry with a thick crust shaped like a striated cylinder.
- Germany: Currywurst. Grilled sausages over potatoes, topped with ketchup and curry powder.
- Hungary: Roasted Duck With Truffle Sauce. Served on crackers with mascarpone cheese and marinated red cabbage. Extremely delicious, with meat so soft that it melts in the mouth, and with a pleasantly spicy sauce according to the ambassador.
- Ireland: Boxty. Fried pancakes of finely grated potatoes served with a cheddar cheese sauce. According to the embassy, this extremely tasty dish feels like a real Irish breakfast.
- Italy: Tagliata. Thinly sliced beef on salad greens with balsamic dressing, sprinkled with Italian cheese.
- Kosovo: Kofte. Minced meat baked with spices and herbs, served with marinated pepper and cucumber, topped with a yogurt sauce.
- Lithuania: Saltibarsciai. Cold beet soup. Kura Sushi slightly adapted the recipe, removing the traditional kefir (a fermented dairy drink) and adding a hint of sushi vinegar to achieve a well-balanced umami, sweetness, and acidity. The Lithuanian ambassador praised it, saying, “It's refreshing and delicious.”
- Netherlands: Soused Herring. Raw fish marinated in vinegar, served with lemon, olive oil, red onion, and parsley.
- Norway: Norwegian Salmon Carpaccio. Thinly-sliced raw salmon sauced with lemon and olive oil. The fatty texture is owed to the coldness of Arctic seas. Fresh, delicious, with a good marbling and texture according to the embassy.
- Romania: Papanasi. Deep-fried dough topped with sour cream and blueberry jam.
- San Marino: Piadina. Fold the tortilla (close replacement for the original flatbread) to eat the salad greens, cream cheese, prosciutto dry-cured ham, and tomato like a sandwich.
- Slovakia: Cauliflower Nuggets. Coated, deep-fried, and topped with a rich cheese sauce and parsley.
- Spain: Jamón Serrano. Thinly-sliced dry-cured ham with olive oil.
- Sweden: Meatballs. Served with mashed potatoes and lingonberry jam. Lingonberries originate from short evergreens in the tundra.
- Switzerland: Malakoff. Fried cheese balls with marinated pepper and a tomato sauce. Excellent, crunchy outside, melty inside, with a great recipe according to the embassy.
- UK: Sunday Roast. Roast beef, potatoes, and gravy traditionally consumed on Sunday.
