Baseball holds a deep-rooted passion in Japan, and the sport is widely embraced from professional leagues right through to school tournaments. One professional team located close to Tokyo is the Seibu Lions, whose home field is the Belluna Dome in Saitama Prefecture.
This summer, a special event brings all the fun of a summer festival to the popular baseball venue, and it's simply called the Lions Summer Festival. The event is set to include fireworks displays, Bon Odori dancing featuring around 40 teams from across the country, and a variety of stalls selling food and drinks.
Please note that while admission to the Belluna Dome is free, there are charges for bleacher seats for the fireworks, plus any food or drink you purchase.
