I always really enjoy walking around Shizuoka City, for a number of reasons. There are plenty of interesting little shops and cafes, the grid system makes it easy to find my way around, it's more pedestrian-friendly than a lot of other places. There's also a lot of eye-catching public art, such as the cute figures of women around the Cenova shopping center, the statues in and around Sunpu Castle Park, and some interesting sculpture on Aoba Symbol Road. So next time you're in Shizuoka , see how many of these you can spot. Gold star if you find all of them!
