If you're heading to Seiken-ji temple from the direction of Shimizu station, then just before you get there, you'll come to Zuiun-in, a small, charming Buddhist temple. It's worth stopping off here as a kind of appetizer, to enjoy the calming atmosphere it has, with its serene Buddhist statues, the simple but attractive design of the halls, and the surrounding greenery.

The temple buildings

Is it sacrilegious that this reminds me a little of that statue in Belgium?
