Fall colors highlight hike through marshland
After a 45-minute bus ride from Nikko Station, it was time to ascend the path through Senjogahara marsh. Compared to the mountains I usually hike, it was much more laid back.
Simply follow the wooden path along the Yu River (Yugawa in Japanese), marshes and forrest areas. It takes about 2-3 hours to hike the whole thing. If you're in Nikko, take a chance to hike this tranquil marsh surrounded by picturesque mountains.
