Claude Monet (1840 – 1926) was a pioneering French Impressionist painter renowned for his extraordinary sense of natural light and color, and his artworks like the "Water Lilies" series are still influential to this day. A special event taking place at the Ueno Royal Museum will explore a number of Monet's works to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Impressionism, with around 60 pieces on display.
Please note that adult admission is priced at 2800 JPY on weekdays, but it increases to 3000 JPY on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.
If you won't be in Tokyo during the event period, a follow-on exhibition will take place at the Osaka Nakanoshima Museum of Art from early February to early May 2024. More information can be found on the official event website.
