Treasures from the Takasago Collection

Venue: Panasonic Shiodome Museum of Art When: Jan 9th - Mar 21st 2021

A special event taking place at the Panasonic Shiodome Museum of Art looks into various vessels for scent from different corners of the globe from the Takasago International Corporation's collection. The corporation is one of the world's major producers of fragrances and is headquartered in Japan.

Items like European perfume bottles and Japanese incense burners made from ceramic and metal are some of the 240 items in total that will be displayed.

Adult admission to the event is priced at 1000 yen.

Getting there

The Panasonic Shiodome Museum of Art is located on the 4th floor of the Panasonic Tokyo Shiodome Building. The venue can be accessed in around 8 minutes on foot from JR Shimbashi Station (Karasumori or Shiodome Exit), or around 5 minutes on foot from Shiodome Station (Exit 3 or 4) on the Toei Oedo Line.

For those who plan to drive, there's no dedicated lot for the museum. Patrons are advised to park in the paid Times Shiodome City Center lot, which directly connects to the Panasonic Tokyo Shiodome Building.

I've always had an appreciation of perfume bottles, thanks to my Mom's collection. They always intrigued me. I'd love to check this out.
