Hosen-ji

Being curious pays off

While I was walking around in the north-western part of Machida, I found Hosen-ji, a temple just a few minutes by foot from Tokyo Toritsu Oyamadairi Park. The temple is on a small hill from where you have a nice view over the city. While the actual temple area is pretty small, it is still worth seeing.

Being a very curious person, I inspected the big bell a little closer. I ducked under it, had a look inside and my curiosity paid off: the inside of the bell is covered with lots of Japanese characters!
