The Suntory Museum of Art is hosting a special exhibition titled "Japanese Art: Deep and Deeper", which runs until November 29th. The event focuses on how to enjoy Japanese art in everyday life, and showcases works with a Japanese aesthetic from the museum's extensive collection. Items like sake cups, vases from the Muromachi Period (1336 to 1573), paintings, pottery, and prints are just some of the things you'll find on display at the event.

Adult admission is priced at 1500 yen.

Getting there

The Suntory Museum of Art has direct access from Roppongi Station, served by the Toei Oedo Line and the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line. Alternatively, the museum is a 3 minute walk from Nogizaka Station's Exit 3, served by the Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line.

For those who plan to drive to the museum, do note that there is no dedicated parking lot. Museum patrons are advised to park in the nearby Tokyo Midtown Lot, and access details can be found here.

I'm an expat who has lived abroad for almost a decade, including 7 years in Japan. I've also visited 44 of 47 prefectures and hope to get to the last three someday! I'm particularly fond of exploring off the beaten path destinations, gardens, and tea houses, and have a real interest in Japan's growing vegan scene.
