Rilakkuma Store In Tokyo Station

Entire store devoted to bear who just wants to relax

By Victoria Vlisides    - 1 min read

Didn't get a chance to check out the Rilakkuma Cafe? Me neither.

That's why I was elated when I wound up in the Rilakkuma Store in Tokyo Station. An entire store dedicated to one of Japan's most popular characters -- as well as his cute friends. Rilakkuma is simply a bear ("kuma" in Japanese means "bear") who enjoys relaxing, something we can all appreciate, can't we?

The store is located in Tokyo Station's Character Street in the shopping arcade known as First Avenue.  It's open from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
