For a traditional Japanese tea experience, Saryo is a great place to start. Saryo (Tea Pavilion) in Kagurazaka is the flagship store of four Saryo cafes. Each location has a slightly different concept; the Kagurazaka Saryo has a very elegant but also at-home feel. Saryo in Kagurazaka is hidden away, allowing one to rid oneself of being surrounded by the city and really relax. Saryo takes simple traditional Japanese food like udon and transforms it into a beautiful and delicious work of art. Try something new, like porridge or mochi, and be amazed by the flavors, colors and textures.
