This side street standing bar in Tokyo's Ebisu district serves up Niigata sake favourites alongside Japanese sake-friendly tapas plates, with the cooking here influenced by a 120 year authentic Niigata heritage.

Tashinami collaborates with two Niigata food powerhouses in Tokyo, Joetsu Yasuda (Ebisu and Shimbashi) and Ginza-based Joetsu Megumi Taku.

Both venues are evolved from a famed Niigata ryotei restaurant, Yasune, meaning visitors know they are in for a unique experience at Tashinami, which brings this quality food along with Yasune's 120 year heritage to a standing bar (tachinomi) setting in Tokyo for the first time.

Guests can drop by this standing bar to try a few Niigata-inspired dishes with an authentic sake pairing to match.

The sake selection is provided by several Niigata brands: Musashino Shuzo, Niigata Daiichi Shuzo, Maruyama Shuzojo, Takeda Shuzo, Kiminoi Brewery, Yoshikawa Tōji, Ikedaya Brewery, Myōkō Brewery and Ayu Masamune Brewery.

Rotating around 90 sake varieties over the course of the year to match with the season, Tashinami will allow guests full control over one of the finer pleasures of sake tasting: adjusting the serving temperature and comparing the flavour. This allows guests to maximise the experience from tasting their favourite brand of sake.

In spirit of the Japanese style of exchanging sake cups ('sashitsu sasaretsu'), all sake here is served in small ceramic sake bottles.

Selected for their compatibility with sake, the foods here are available in abundance, and include sashimi, oden dishes, seafood plates, dried fish and grilled options.
