There's no doubt that art takes many forms, and Japanese art is no exception to this rule. The special exhibition "This is Japan in Tokyo" showcases various mediums of Japanese art, including pieces centered around themes like samurai, Mt. Fuji, the four seasons, and even kawaii (cute) art.

Through paintings, ukiyo-e prints, lacquerware, and more, visitors to the exhibition can delve into the richness of Japanese art, as well as gaining an understanding of just how diverse Japanese history and culture truly is.

Adult admission to the exhibition is 1300 yen.

Getting there

The Tokyo Fuji Art Museum is located a 10 minute taxi ride from the JR Hachioji Station, served by the Chuo Line, the Yokohama Line, and the Hachiko Line. Buses from the station to the museum are also available -- details about bus schedules can be found on the official museum website.

For those who are driving to the venue, take the Hachioji IC exit from the Chuo Expressway, and the museum is under 10 minutes drive from there. There are two free parking lots at the museum, accommodating 90 vehicles.
