Participants at the Tokyo International Charity Marathon can be sure to feel they are running for a great cause. Organized by the NPO group Join Life, the “Hope and Live” marathon and live concert event will help you feel good in both body and spirit. After all, there’s no better feeling than helping others. And the Hope and Live marathon lets participants do just that.
Challenge yourself by running a marathon tailored to your skill level. You can enter the 5-km or 10-km marathon. You’ll circle the Imperial Palace where the Emperor of Japan lives while also taking in the various sights of Tokyo.
But what charity marathon in Japan would be complete without a little entertainment? You can be sure to be warmed up before your run while you watch a live dance event. And stick around after the marathon to enjoy live music and entertainment by local artists. Get ready to laugh at the comedy of Neko Hiroshi or enjoy the sounds of idol groups Parallel Dream, and many more. Reception starts at 9:30 at Hibiya Park Health Plaza (Hibiyakoen Kenko Hiroba) and the day of events finished at 5 pm.
The participation fee is 3,500 yen per person, which includes access to the entertainment and souvenir items such as your marathon number and even includes an original competition t-shirt. Although it might be chilly outside your spirit will be warmed knowing that you’ve helped research for HIV/AIDS and your body will definitely be warmer after running around the Imperial Palace.
Why not make some great memories for a greater cause this January? The various attractions of Tokyo will leave you breathless.
