Since opening on the top floor of Roppongi’s Roi Building in July 2010, Vanity Lounge has become the go-to place for models and celebrities. With space for up to 700 people, it’s one of the largest restaurant/lounges in the Tokyo area, and enjoys panoramic views of Tokyo Tower and Roppongi Hills. Many world class DJ's and performing artists have been featured here in exclusive engagements. No other venue in Tokyo has boasted artists such as Black Eyed Peas, Ne-Yo, LMFAO, Ray J, Iyaz, Bobby Brown, The Spankers, Big Boy, DJ E-Man, DJ Vice, DJ Mouss and DJ Cassidy.
Resident DJ Yaksa, formerly of LA's celebrity club Voyouri, runs the regular groove these days, and the lounge has gained such popularity that they’ve even had to limit the number of entrants most nights—it is definitely a place to see and be seen. Beat the crowds by dining in the elegant Vanity Restaurant between 6pm and 11pm. This gets you a fast pass to the lounge at 11pm, and you can set the tone for the evening via their innovative French menu with Japanese overtones. Accompanied by champagne (including Veuve Clicquot), wine, beer, or cocktails, your night on the town will be a memorable one.
Vanity’s lounge area offers ample seating for 220 people, while a set of VIP and karaoke rooms provides more intimate environs for a private party. The venue can also be rented out for private functions—call or drop in for details. Vanity's Japanese website gives you a good look at what kind of atmosphere and surroundings you can expect.
If you are forgoing dinner, the lounge opens at 11pm and costs from 2000 to 3500 yen for gentleman, depending on the day and event. Ladies always get in free, and they can even take advantage of a special limo deal across town to partner f-Bar! Don’t forget to bring photo ID, as they will check at the door.
Your night out at Vanity is sure to be a highlight of your time in Tokyo!
