Yokota Air Base Friendship Festival 2025

Celebrating U.S.-Japan Relations in Fussa

Venue
Yokota Air Base
When
Mid May 2025

The Yokota Friendship Festival is an annual event held at Yokota Air Base, and its purpose is to celebrate U.S.-Japan relations and strengthen ties with the local community. The base opens up to the public for two days, with aircraft static-displays, live music, food vendors, and a variety of performances for visitors to enjoy.

Please note that all visitors over the age of 16 are required to bring photo ID to enter on the day. This can be in the form of a passport, driver's license, My Number card, or resident ID card. In addition, non-U.S. and non-Japanese visitors need to pre-register their attendance via the QR code on the event website.

Admission is free.

Getting there

Entrance to the event takes place through Gate # 5 (Ushihama/Supply Gate) of Yokota Air Base, which can be accessed in around 20 minutes on foot from Haijima Station (served by the Ōme Line, Itsukaichi Line, Hachikō Line, and the Seibu Haijima Line). Ushihama Station (Ōme Line) is only around 10 minutes on foot away, but due to predicted congestion on the day it's advised to transit through Haijima instead.

I'm glad you had a good time! It's a nice event and I think it really brings together the community and showcases some great things the military does.
