A special exhibition taking place at the Yamanashi Prefectural Museum of Art looks into a range of botanical artworks which were inspired by London's Kew Gardens. The gardens have been a historical favorite of the British Royal Family, and the exhibition will showcase floral drawings and paintings, pottery inspired by flora, and more.
Along with the variety of art on display, the exhibition will also host some fun additional events including a concert, a traditional British-style afternoon tea (priced at an additional 2000 yen per person), and a special lecture on plants and botanical art from Hideaki Oba, a botanist and Professor Emeritus at The University of Tokyo.
