Tokyo DisneySea is launching a brand-new attraction called Soaring: Fantastic Flight on Tuesday, July 23rd, 2019. Based on the popular worldwide attraction 'Soarin' Around the World, this flight motion-simulator features brand new scenes and visuals in an exclusive DisneySea experience.

During the Soaring: Fantastic Flight simulation guests will be flown around famous landscapes of the world where they will experience sounds and scents in a fully immersive experience. Some of the sights include the African savannah, Egyptian pyramids, the Great Wall of China, and a thrilling finale with a night flight through Tokyo. Much more than a screen viewing, the attraction features seating where guests are strapped in and lifted high into the air, occasionally tilted back and forth with the motion of the flying vehicle called the Dream Flyer. There is a real feeling of soaring through the skies as you are lifted up, but the ride is accessible for everyone as it is very safe with no roller-coaster type drops or lunges.

For those interested in the story behind the attraction, Disney has provided the background:

Nestled in the hills of Mediterranean Harbor, amidst the backdrop of an old-world Italian village, the Museum of Fantastic Flight is dedicated to humankind’s enduring dream of flying. Today, the museum celebrates Camellia Falco—a visionary innovator in the fledgling field of aviation—with a special retrospective of her life.

A grand tour of the museum includes a magical visit from the spirit of Camellia and culminates with Guests boarding her latest and greatest achievement—a flying vehicle of her own design called the Dream Flyer. Guests soon experience what Camellia believed, that our imagination can propel us into the future and take us everywhere in the world we wish to go. And before Guests know it, their spirits are sent soaring.

Upon entering the attraction visitors will enjoy a grand tour of the museum, which includes a magical visit from the spirit of Camellia, a character in the attraction. There are also many exclusive soaring menu items sure to delight in the nearby restaurant.

This looks like so much fun! It’s been a few years since I’ve been to DisneySea but this would be a good incentive to return!

Well, you can't say Disney doesn't go all the way with its attraction ideas, that's for sure.
