One cloudy, cold day, I strolled along Asuwa River in Fukui to enjoy the cherry blossoms which decorate the pathway every spring. The view of the cherry trees here is so beautiful, it was understandably selected as one of the '100 Best Places for Sakura Viewing' in Japan. Asuwa River flows through the center of Fukui City, therefore many local people take leisurely walks every day on the pathways along it. Especially in spring, even in still-cold weather, people enjoy strolling along the path appreciating the gorgeous cherry blossoms decorating the whole scene. For night-time illumination of these trees, please see my other photo story.
