When cherry blossoms start to bloom, there's only one thing Japanese people can think of...Yes! An Ohanami Party!
In Fukui, there are many places you can enjoy an Ohanami Party, and the Chinese restaurant Pilliken is one of the best places to enjoy it on the Asuwa riverbank. Located just beside the riverbank, near Tsukumo Bridge, this restaurant guarantees you one of the most beautiful views of sakura in your life AND tasty dishes! For more photos of cherry blossoms on the Asuwa riverbank, please look at my other photo stories on both daytime and night-time views of pretty sakura!

I was born in and grew up in Tokushima prefecture, and have lived in many places since then: Nishinomiya, Kyoto, Nara, Mie, Tokyo, Kanagawa, Saitama, Chiba, Fukuoka and Fukui. I am currently living in Yokohama City. All the places I lived, all the places I visited, I have loved dearly. The historical places where people lived, loved, suffered, and fought - places where I can still hear their heartbeats - mesmerize me. I'd like to retrace the footsteps of the people who lived in Japan a long long time ago, and introduce to you what they left behind on this soil.
