Right in front of Himeji Castle is a gorgeous Japanese Garden that is called Koko-en Garden. The small waterfall and meticulously trimmed pine tree both serve to create a quintessentially Japanese space - one that makes you feel as though you have unwound the clock for almost 200 years. If you are visiting Himeji, Koko-en Garden is surely a worthy stop.
