I live in Fukui which faces the Japan Sea. In winter, roaring waves crash against rocky cliffs under the dark, ominous sky. The winter here is long and cold, and makes you feel like you will never see sunshine again. I was feeling that way, too, so I packed my bag and hit the road, to get to the Pacific Ocean side, where blue sky and bright sunshine awaited me. I chose to stay at Kamakura Prince Hotel, a resort hotel facing the Pacific Ocean, located 15 minutes drive from JR Kamakura Station. The hotel has commanding views of the blue ocean and Mount Fuji. Due to its slightly isolated location, I could enjoy a tranquil holiday with a magnificent view of Mount Fuji from the balcony of my room!
