As if being celebrated as one of Japan's top three scenic spots isn't enough, Matsushima Bay in Miyagi Prefecture got covered with a fresh dump of snowfall - and the result is a beautiful bay area covered with a blanket of snow! Meandering through the town and the numerous islands there, there is guaranteed a good view wherever you may turn. Furthermore, with this sunny day brightening the white-covered town, it can only mean one thing - photography opportunities!

It's really beautiful in person, Olivia! Couldn't believe that I was lucky enough to sight it, either!

I like the pictures of icicles! Winter is easier because I can play with the snow and ice to distract from the cold cold for a moment.
