The importance of sustainable travel has been in the spotlight in recent years, and traveling light is just one way to contribute to this. From helping reduce carbon emissions to minimizing resource consumption, being mindful of what you pack has a host of benefits.
Launched in 2023, Any Wear, Anywhere—originally supported by JAL—was transformed in 2025 as a service for guests staying at APARTMENT HOTEL MIMARU. This service allows Japan-bound travelers to rent clothes for their business or leisure travel.
The service is open for travelers visiting Japan and staying at MIMARU group Hotels, and the end-to-end process has five steps:
- Make a reservation online: you can choose from three rental options: a Family Set (for 2 adults and 2 children), an Adult Set (for 2 adults), or a Child Set (for 2 children). Customization of the number of people is also available. The clothing items included in each set can be specified based on the following three elements:
- Women's, men's and kids' clothing
- Size (XS–3XL for women’s and men’s, 80–160 for kid’s)
- Season (summer, winter, or spring/autumn)
- Fly to Japan!
- Receive your rental clothes at your accommodation — shipping is included in the rental price.
- Enjoy your Japan travels in your borrowed, sustainable threads!
- Return your clothes via your hotel or at conveneince stores.
