Hidaka is a nice place to visit during the autumn. You can see a very unique flower called Higanbana in Japanese, or red spider lily, at Kinchakuda Manjyushage Park, at Hidaka city in Saitama. September is the best season for higanbana. Japanese people say when this flower blooms, autumn has begun. Usually this flower is red, but sometimes white, pink and yellow too. Hidaka is in the southern part of Saitama Prefecture and you can go by car or by train. Just take the Seibu-Ikebukuro Line and alight at Koma Station.
