Autumn Leaves Along Shuzenji River

On November 25th, 2012, I visited Izu to enjoy the autumn leaves around Shuzenji and inside the natural parkland there. I took my time and leisurely explored the area.

In autumn, any place famous for gorgeous leaves will be crowded. So, as soon as the dawn broke I stepped out of my hotel and strolled along the pathway through the Bamboo Forest in the early morning.

As I expected, I met only locals who were enjoying their daily morning walk, and a few photographers like me who woke up early to take photos without crowds.

Here and there, the morning sun was shining through leaves. The clear leaves highlighted by the morning sunshine were reflected on the river surface. It was extremely beautiful.
