On the way from Ito to Mount Omuro on the eastern side of the Izu Peninsula, Lake Ippeki is a small but attractive lake surrounded by forest and low hills, typical of the area's beautiful scenery. There's a path all the way round the shore, and it's nice to walk round slowly, maybe take a picnic in good weather, taking the air and enjoying the tranquility and the views.
