Nestled in a graffiti and sticker slapped alley between the surrounding high rise buildings and lofts of Shibuya is Japanese fashion boutiques Candy and Sister. Looking from the outside of their building, named FAKE, You’ll see their window display with a neon sign and can already tell that this is an edgy fashion store.

Candy over the years has grown more popular for its unique fashion collections from different brands across the world. Their blog and website where they wear and style the clothes they sell has been popular among fashion enthusiasts looking for inspiration. They carry brands from notable fashion designers like Versus Versace, Kenzo, and Valentino to independent but recently popular street wear brands like Gerlan Jeans, SAM MC LONDON, and KTZ. The brands they sell all fall into a unique eccentric style that dares to be different. Their fashion is really hard to define, and that is what makes Tokyo or even Japanese fashion in general a creative experience when you travel here.

Sister is the boutique located on the second floor of the FAKE building. This boutique has a more toned down but still unique vibe compared to the eccentricity of Candy. Sister also carries different brands and caters to women. Their boutique has 1960’s elegant vibe but still very edgy. The staff are nice too and if your fashion style is as unique and eccentric as theirs they might snap a photo of you and post it on their website. If ever you are looking for a fashion boutique in Shibuya that’s different and inspiring look for FAKE-TOKYO's Candy and Sister.
