Inokashira Park Cherry Blossom

Popular park for cherry blossom parties

Inokashira Park is a spacious and well-kept park in the popular neighbourhood of Kichijoji in western Tokyo. The park has some well known places to visit such as a zoo, bird sanctuary, aquatic life park, and Ghibli Museum. It's also popular with artists, musicians, joggers, photographers, and dog walkers. One more thing that Inokashira Park is famous for is its cherry blossom parties. Young and old will gather throughout the day to eat and drink. The parties used to go on all night, but complaints about noise and litter now mean all parties finish at 10 pm.

Coming from England, Judo brought me to Tokyo back in 2002.When not listening to good music (The Stooges, Jimi Hendrix, The who), I enjoy practising the guitar, Star Wars, bonsai, and photography. My favourite place in Tokyo is Koenji. It's a great place to live with good shopping, a decent and varied music scene, and, despite the language barrier, a generally friendly community.
