Koishikawa Korakuen is one of Tokyo’s oldest and greatest Japanese gardens, located just next to Tokyo Dome City. A wonderful array of ponds, stones, trees, walking trails and man-made hills provide vantage points to view this spectacular garden.
I spent two glorious hours there in autumn, enjoying the brilliant red and orange hues of the Japanese maples, and golden yellow ginkgo trees. Superb.

This is one of my favorite gardens in Tokyo. How lucky to catch it in full autumn glory!

I've been there today, what a wonderful peaceful retreat! Although the colours of the leaves have begun to fade away, some trees were still incredibly beautiful. I loved the mixture of the fallen yellow and red maples leaves. I wanna go back in spring, I bet the weeping cherry tree next to the entrance is a real highlight!

Thanks Coy, it's a goldmine for photos it really is! I loved every minute of it, and spend two solid hours walking, watching and shooting. Best garden I went to in Tokyo. Cheers, Ben
