If you’re visiting Lake Shikotsu and looking for a place to eat, check out Memeru. If you’re feeling adventurous, try Memeru’s venison hamburger steak. While venison is not allowed in certain parts of Japan due to deer being “sacred”, that is not the case in Hokkaido! The steak is incredibly juicy and surprisingly soft. But if you’re in the mood for seafood, take your pick between fried fish, octopus, and shrimp. Or simply try out their specialty curry – it makes my mouth water just thinking about it. Check out the bar and specialty desserts.
