Situated on Kyoto’s main entertainment avenue, Kyoto Royal Hotel & Spa provide easy access to some of the city's most famed sights such as Nijo Castle, Kinkakuji Temple, and Kiyomizu. Many of the bus stops for Kyoto’s most loved spots are less than one minute away. In addition, many of its famed areas are also accessible by foot such as Gion and Pontocho. Kyoto Royal Hotel & Spa is the perfect place to stay if you want a beautiful, central location that makes your traveling experience relaxing and fun.

Apart from its excellent location, Kyoto Royal Hotel & Spa also offers many wonderful amenities. Each room is light and clean with a high level of comfort, including free Wi-Fi and BBC news. The hotel itself has an excellent restaurant, Pranda, which serves Spanish dishes amongst many others. The restaurant is certainly not your average ‘hotel restaurant’: it is elegantly stylish and boasts large windows looking onto the city streets. For a cozy and social atmosphere, take a visit to 'Haven', the hotel's library lounge and bar done in an authentic English style. To receive 40% off, take a visit during happy hour, from 5pm–7pm each day. The hotel breakfast is definitely worth including in your stay. Each day you are provided with large selection of delicious foods catered to many cultures, from fish, vegetables and soup to waffles, pancakes, and bacon to name just a few. The staff are very friendly, and mostly speak a good level of English. They are happy to help you with maps, information about bus routes, and valuable local insights. I was very impressed with their customer service.

In addition to the hotels perfect location, excellent amenities, and overall sophistication, there is also a spa. After a long day of traveling, it can be easy to forget to relax or take a break (even if you are staying here for vacation). The Kotoran Spa at Kyoto Royal Hotel & Spa is a great way to wind down and treat yourself. With over 240 salons across Japan, Kotoran Spa is passionate about the art and craft of massage therapy, aiming to ‘draw out the body’s natural healing capacity.’ The Spa offers facials, body care, foot reflexology and more – all at competitive prices.

Confident in its elegant and chic style, the hotel host banquets, conferences, and weddings. Some rooms are graced with stunning chandeliers, with others providing views of the main street, while the Ariake room caters for those seeking a more intimate environment. If you are hosting an event in Kyoto, you are bound to find something that suits your needs at Kyoto Royal Hotel and Spa.

Of all the wonderful aspects of this hotel, the location and comfort stand out as the best I have experienced. For a truly relaxing and fun stay with a good price in a fantastic hotel, Kyoto Royal Hotel and Spa cannot be beaten. I would recommend anyone staying here, whether local or from further afield.
