The Gardens of Zuiho-ji

A temple near the mausoleum of Date Masamune

In order to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection, the mausoleum will accept up to 100 people per hour for group customers, and 25 people each for the museum.

If you happen to visit one of Sendai's most interesting sights, Zuihoden, then stop by Zuiho-ji. The temple is also located in Kyogamine Park, about thirty minutes on foot from Sendai Station. What I found especially interesting was that you can't see the main building when you enter through the gate, as there is a big tree right in front of it. If you're as curious as me, you'll definitely walk around the garden a bit to see what's behind that tree.
