Visit Cafe Gram, in Harajuku, to try their marvelous puffy creation: fluffy pancakes. I had a pleasure of meeting their Pancake Master in Harajuku, Takashige Kasai. He invited me to his kitchen to see some of his magic.

No secret recipes were revealed unfortunately, but I got to observe the making process and it was pretty amazing. Their pancakes are delicious and surely fluffy. They are served with butter, fresh cream and maple syrup – and I'll definitely be heading back to Cafe Gram soon.

For anyone headed off the beaten path, they have a Cafe Gram in Takamatsu, Kagawa Prefecture, which is where I had these for the first time. They were good!

Wow you are lucky you got to see inside the kitchen. Definitely one of the fluffiest pancakes we have ever had. The place we dined at had certain times to order the pancakes, so make sure you double check. https://youtu.be/q7EXS2XBQcM
