In 1926 an American businessman, Thomas Melvin Laffin, built a house for his just-married son, John Edward. They asked J.H. Morgan to design it. Morgan was famous as the architect of the Negishi Racetrack grandstands, built in 1929. A set of three arches in the front of the house are very elegant and attractive. During the holiday season, window frames are adorned with red flowers, a Christmas tree welcomes you in the hall, and a sophisticated dinner is set for guests! An index of this series is here.
