Overview
One of the most cosmopolitan areas of Tokyo, Minato City Ward is replete with quality attractions. Its museums and galleries are world class with quality the primary feature. From family fun to cultural sophistication, the city has it all. Here is an introduction to just some of the museums and galleries to be found in Minato and how to reach them.

Considered by many to be the best city ward science museum in Tokyo, the Minato Science Museum is one of those perfect interactive locations for the family. While the excellent planetarium may set you back JPY600, the museum itself, with its countless number of activities and exhibits, offers free admission.

National Art Center
Roppongi's famous National Art Center is one of Tokyo's showpiece galleries. Home to a hypnotic wave-like design and construction, the gallery is about as modern as one can get. Taro Okamoto Memorial Museum
Famous for his expression, "Art's an explosion!!", the inspiration that is the late Taro Okamoto continues to live on in the delightfully cheeky but very much alive Taro Okamoto Memorial Museum. The JPY650 admission fee doesn't do the free and energetic spirit of Okamoto's prehistoric-inspired works justice at all.
