Lake Ezu (Ezuko in Japanese) provides a great getaway into nature away from city hustle and bustle. Located in Kumamoto city, you can enjoy a lovely morning, afternoon, or evening walk around the lake. The lake area is very large, so you can either rent a bicycle to ride around the whole lake, or just have a casual walk to halfway and back. There is lots of bird life in and around the lake, so you can enjoy seeing different kinds of birds too! At the east end of the lake, you can also enjoy a stroll in Suizenji Ezuko Park.

The lake is quite big, isn't it? Many school kids go for a picnic, too.
